Since 2012, the Team Finn Foundation has been partnering with Mitacs to help fund research projects aimed at developing targeted therapies for childhood cancer patients.
Mitacs has matched funds donated by Team Finn to support post-doctoral students doing important pediatric cancer research at Poul Sorensen’s and Ryan Morin’s laboratories.
So far, $300,000 donated by Team Finn has been leveraged into almost $700,000 of funds towards work in pediatric cancer research. We look forward to a continued relationship with Mitacs to increase our fundraising dollars and to providing top talent to the realm of pediatric cancer research in BC.
